Digital Pre-Start & Compliance Guide

1. Getting Started

Welcome to A-Composite Safety. This app replaces outdated paper checklists with secure, auditable digital safety records.

A Personal Edition (Free)

If you are using the app for personal use, you are automatically in the Personal Edition. You can add one vehicle to your phone and perform local safety checks. Data is saved strictly to your device.

B Joining a Company (Fleet Edition)

Go to your Settings tab and tap "Staff Login / Join Fleet". Enter the "Join Code" provided by your manager. This links your app to your company's master database and activates automatic cloud backups.

💡 Seamless Switching: Your personal vehicles are kept in a separate secure memory bank. If you log out of your company account, your personal vehicle is safely restored to your screen—nothing is ever deleted by accident!

2. Building "My Fleet"

The My Fleet tab is where you manage the vehicles you inspect daily.

1 Creating Assets (Admins Only)

If you are an Admin, you can tap + Create New Fleet Vehicle to add machinery to the company database. Once saved, it becomes instantly searchable for all your drivers.

2 Pinning to Your Phone (Drivers)

Drivers do not need to type out vehicle details. Simply use the Search Company Roster bar to look up your vehicle's Rego or Asset ID. Tap + Pin to Phone to add it to your daily roster.

💡 Live Roster Sync: If an Admin deletes a vehicle from the company cloud (e.g., equipment is retired), the app will automatically wipe that "ghost" vehicle from all drivers' phones to prevent accidental inspections.

3. Conducting Inspections

Tap Start ➔ next to any pinned vehicle in your fleet to begin the safety check.

  • Safety Declaration: Operators must read and accept the safety terms before starting.
  • Visual Checks: Mark items as Pass, Fail, or N/A. If an item fails, a note is required to explain the hazard.
  • Photographic Evidence: Use your phone's camera to attach visual proof of leaks, damage, or wear directly to the report.
  • Digital Signature: Sign the screen to legally verify the inspection, then save it.

4. Offline Mode & Syncing

Safety shouldn't stop when you lose cell service. The app features robust offline capabilities.

Working Without Signal

If you lose internet, the app will display an Offline badge at the top of the screen. Inspections will be saved safely to your phone's local memory.

Syncing Your Records

Once you are back on WiFi or 4G/5G, open your History tab. You will see a prompt to sync your offline reports to the company cloud. Once synced, your reports are backed up securely and visible to your manager.

5. Compliance Reports (PDF)

All of your completed inspections are stored in the History tab.

Tap the document icon next to any report to generate a professional PDF. This document formats your signature, failure notes, and photos into a clean compliance record that you can email to supervisors, mechanics, or safety officers directly from your phone.

6. Admin Dashboard

Company Admins can oversee the entire fleet's safety status from a computer.

Navigate to your Settings tab and click Web Dashboard Portal. Log in on your desktop to view a live feed of all driver inspections, filter by specific machinery, and download bulk PDF reports for compliance audits.
